What Is the Endosculpt Endoscopic Brow Lift?

An endoscopic brow lift uses small incisions at or behind the hairline. An endoscope gives the surgeon a clearer view of blood vessels, nerves, muscles, and internal tissue layers, allowing precise adjustment of the brow and forehead position.

Plan the Brow Position

The surgeon assesses the existing brow level, forehead height, eyelid area, outer eye position, and upper-face proportions to determine an appropriate lift vector.

Create Small Incisions at the Hairline

Incisions are placed where scars can be concealed, such as at or behind the hairline. Their size and number depend on the individual surgical plan. Most related symptoms gradually improve within approximately 3–6 months.

Use an Endoscope to View Internal Structures

The endoscope helps the surgeon clearly see tissue layers, blood vessels, and nerves in the forehead for more precise work.

Adjust Tissue Layers and Elevate the Brows

The surgeon releases and repositions lax tissue before lifting the brows and forehead to the planned position.

Secure the Position with Medical Devices

Selected cases may use a support device such as Endotine or another material chosen at the surgeon’s discretion.

Treatment Process and Self-Care

Before Surgery

Surgical Procedure (approximately 1–2 hours)

Aftercare and Recovery

Avoid smoking and alcohol for 2–4 weeks.
Stop medications and supplements that affect blood clotting for 2 weeks, as directed.
Complete a health check and facial assessment with an experienced surgeon.
Receive anesthesia
(general anesthesia under one-to-one anesthesiologist supervision).
Small hairline incisions are made; the endoscope is inserted, tissues are lifted, and the position is secured with Endotine.
Days 1–3: Apply cold compresses to the forehead and eye area and sleep with the head elevated. Mild swelling and bruising may occur.
Days 7–14: Sutures are removed. Normal face washing and hair washing can resume after the surgeon approves.
After 1 month: Swelling is generally resolved, and the outer eye and brow position continues to settle into a natural-looking result.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Because the procedure uses magnified endoscopic visualization, the surgeon can see blood vessels and nerves more clearly and better avoid injury to important tissues. Surgery is performed with continuous anesthesiologist supervision.
The small incisions, approximately 1–2 cm, are placed at or behind the hairline and positioned to remain concealed within the hair.
Recovery is generally about 2–3 days. Mild swelling and bruising may occur around the forehead and eyes at first, then gradually improve. Patients should follow the surgeon’s instructions closely.
Endotine is a medical device used to support and secure tissue after a brow lift. It gradually dissolves naturally as the tissue stabilizes in its new position.
