Over the past period, I had the opportunity to attend the Chief Marketing Technologist (CMT Cohort 5) program. Many times while listening to professors and guest speakers, I felt as if I had returned to my days as a medical student — doing assignments, studying case studies, and constantly questioning myself.
What I gained from this course was not “sales techniques”, but a new perspective on the meaning of communication. Because in truth… we are not caring only for a face, but also for the heart of each patient.
What I learned is that…
Some people are afraid of surgery but do not know how to ask their questions.
Some want information that is easy to understand, not filled with complex medical terms.
And some… simply want to hear, “You are not facing this alone.”
From the Marketing & Technology perspective, what stood out to me was:
- Creating a website that is not merely for selling, but a “home” where patients can learn, explore information, and make informed decisions
- Using systems to organize patient data more effectively, allowing us to remember and connect with each individual more easily — so communication can be truly personalized
- Utilizing AI to help create content that explains medical concepts in simpler, clearer ways, making them more accessible for patients
These insights helped me realize that when technology and marketing are used correctly, they become a bridge — one that allows us to connect with patients on a much deeper level, and to make care more meaningful from the very first contact through the postoperative journey.
I will never stop learning… so that care at The Art Plastic Surgery Hospital becomes more than surgery alone, but a shared journey between myself and every patient I have the honor to care for.
